About this event
Calling all veterans, their families, and community members concerned about veterans issues: Join us to build relationships, strengthen connections, and foster an enhanced support network in Vermont and beyond.
This year's event will feature:
- Keynote speaker Robert Bellows is the founder of The Warrior StoryField, a collaborative sculpture project with a core mission of exploring what it takes for warriors to come home from war. Bellows is a metal sculptor who has worked as an artist in Longmont, Colorado for more than 45 years. Bellows will be accompanied by videographer and U.S. Army veteran John P. Golden.
- Our exhibitors' hall, home to 60+ veterans service organizations, forming a "one-stop shop" for information on benefits and resources available to veterans
- A Stand Down, a grouping of coordinated services designed to assist homeless veterans and veterans with housing insecurity
- Breakout sessions exploring a variety of topics including a state legislative update on veterans affairs, a Q & A session with a Veterans Affairs representative, best practices for employers looking to hire and work with veterans, and a session on tying flies for fly fishing
- A complimentary dinner (for pre-registered attendees), a cash bar, and a beer tasting by 14th Star Brewing Co.
Thank you to our supporters!
Northern Vermont University contributes the venue for the Veterans Summit, as well as marketing and administrative support. To cover the additional costs of the Summit, we seek donations and sponsorships from businesses, organizations, and individuals. These donations, and ad revenue from the Veterans Summit program, help us keep this event free both for attendees—mostly veterans and family members—and for our nonprofit exhibitors.
This year’s Summit has been made possible by the generous support of the Vermont Veterans Fund, Casella Waste Systems (our Keynote Sponsor), Twin State Ford (out Hospitality Sponsor), and Vermont Electric Cooperative, New England Air Systems, and NCHC/Northern Express Care (our Breakout Session Sponsors), as well as many other supporters.
A Note for Exhibitors: Please be sure to register both your organization and your individual team members. Registration for exhibitors will close on 5/10
Event agenda is subject to change.
